Just sent yet another mail, asking for updates.
Last time I spoke to them on the phone, they told me, that they are not going to do anything unless they can find this “reference car” that matches my model. Deadline for this was on November 9th, but they extended it indefinitely. Wanted to know if I am waiting for this car till kingdom come or what?
UPDATE: Got the reply. They are doing nothing, as result of my complaint to Authority for car complaints (or whatever it is called in English :-)) …
Which is understandable. But I would still prefer, they tried to fix this, in stead of waiting for somebodies conclusion on, if they should have sold me the car or not.
So for now, there is nothing but wait…
Just used Google, Translate to read the description of the problem in Russian DSG7 owner complaint. Read more about it on DSG7.com (translated to english) For documentation purposes, I am copying the description page from Russian complaint site, where they managed to get their claims acknowleded. Russian VW DSG7 owners also have prolonged warranty … http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian-car-scene/121273-skoda-superb-dsg-7-speed-dq200-failures-china-gets-official-reaction-why-not-india-2.html
I just read an article on Malaysian website (CBT) regarding problems with Volkswagen DSG7 gearboxes in China, from June 2012. Volkswagen has offered to prolong warranty on all their models with DSG7 in China, to 10 years or 160.000 km. The same thing has happened in 2009 for US customers. See document here. But I guess Europeans are not that lucky…
Article is especially interesting, as it mentions all those things I have been having with my car. So it is regarded as fault in the US and China, but Volkswagen Denmark and Volkswagen AG claims that this is “serial production standard”… But they still refuse to give me an official document stating this. So, no official acknowledgment, just excuses and coverups.
While I had the car for replacement of dual clutches, dealership where I bought the car, called me in and says that they were given green light to replace mechatronic unit on my car. So now the mechatronic is being replaced as well. There is not much else, left in regard to gearbox to be replaced. Problem is still there. Jerky/shaky and uneven gear shifting.
So, the noise is back, although very settle, but it’s there nonetheless. Went to dealership to let them know, about it. And they were puzzled. They did some diagnostics, but no errors showed up. They decided to update software in mechatronic unit and in the engine/on-board computer. Not much changed. But told me that they have seen the problem before, and that flywheel replacement helped.
Replacing the flywheel. Complaint about noise in low RPM’s at low gears. Especially in second and third gear. Jumpy at rolling from stand still.
