Research

Already after VW replaced DSG gearbox in my car, I started doing research on the subject. Quickly realised, that I am not the only one having this problem. Plenty of others have been reporting about the same issue with their DSG7 gearboxes. And this was not limited to the new VW Tourans, but all Volkswagen AG (VAG) cars. Be it, Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT or Škoda. They all had the same DSG7 gearboxes, and they are obviously not limited to a “bad batch”, but problem spans over several years. So for me, it looks more like a bad gearbox design, rather than a fluke. That Volkswagen is trying to cover up.

One would like to believe that several years is more than in enough time for them to figure out the problem, and solve it. Redesign the gearbox and re-call all the cars for the replacement.

So, I wanted to compile a list with link, where people are complaining about the same problem. I did searches in English, German and Danish, so problem is obviously not a batch related, but more serious and all point to design/structural faults.
